If you try to install EpiTrax into a compressed folder, it will fail since it uses a component from Microsoft which cannot be installed into a compressed folder. You can recognize that a folder is compressed, by looking at the color of its name. In case it is compressed it will be blue instead of black.

In order to install the software anyway, first create an "EpiTrax" folder inside "Program Files" right click on it and uncompress it, using the extended properties. Afterwards install EpiTrax into this folder.
