NeoMed Software Launches Upgrade to Seizure Diary Software, EpiTrax

EpiTrax 1.5 offers more in–depth reporting functionality and overall improvements to its seizure tracking capabilities

Los Angeles – November 1, 2007 – NeoMed Software LLC announced today that it has launched an upgrade to its seizure diary software, EpiTrax. The new version, which comes at the beginning of Epilepsy Awareness Month, provides more in–depth reporting and analysis functionality to users of the software, improving its overall seizure tracking capabilities.

“Since the launch of EpiTrax, we’ve collected extensive feedback from trial users and customers alike,” explains Eric Schumacher, CEO of NeoMed Software. “As a result of that feedback, we’ve focused a lot of energy and resources on creating more powerful reporting and analysis tools. EpiTrax 1.5 is the result of our efforts.”

EpiTrax allows users to record comprehensive details about their seizures, their daily events, their diet, their moods and more. However, unlike any other seizure diary, EpiTrax allows individuals to run reports on, and analyze, the information they record in order to gain a much deeper understanding of their seizures and the root causes of those seizures. The EpiTrax reports can then be printed and shared with physicians as a means of improving patient–doctor communication and developing more appropriate seizure treatments.

EpiTrax 1.5 extends its reporting functionality with three new reports:

In addition to the new reports, NeoMed Software has improved three other EpiTrax reports, including:

Finally, NeoMed has restructured the analysis features of EpiTrax for greater flexibility. Now users have the option of drilling further into their recorded information in order to identify patterns that may not be apparent in the standard reports. Coupled with the new reporting functionality, these flexible analysis features give patients a greater ability to track their seizures.

EpiTrax 1.5 is available for Microsoft Windows only and can be purchased from the NeoMed web site (www.neomedsoft.com) for $49.99. All current customers who have been working with EpiTrax 1.0 will receive the new version for free.

Visit NeoMed Software at the upcoming Epilepsy Brain Storm Summit. The summit, which will present the latest in epilepsy research, treatment and advocacy, will take place on November 3rd at the Cathedral Plaza in downtown Los Angeles.
